KPMG, one of the largest companies providing professional services, consulted 204 respondents from different segments in Brazil to assess the degree of maturity of the Risk Management process.
Among them, financial services, health, agribusiness, retail, energy, sanitation, civil construction and several others.
The study was carried out between November and December 2017 and gave rise to the first edition of the Risk Management Process Maturity Survey in Brazil.
The result of the survey:
on the one hand, companies' awareness has increased about the importance of working on this aspect of management (44% of respondents said that their process was established in the last three years);
but the processes themselves are still below the intermediate level: 56% of companies have a level of maturity in Risk Management below the classification considered mature (with 29% at the weak level and 27% at the sustainable level), 40% are at the level mature, 2% in integrated and just 2% in advanced.
